Pricing model

Wagon unloading or loading is based on the cargo handled and the handling method required. Goods must be unloadable from ground level; there are no loading bridges into wagons. LFS unloads/loads open wagons with a crane and grab, and from the wagon side at ground level with forklifts/wheel loaders.

Warehouse pricing is based on storage time, space use and related agreed add-on services. Add-ons include for example forwarding, packing and bracing. There is no single handling or storage price list; customer needs and product characteristics define pricing each time: cargo quality, turnover and possible add-ons form the basis. Volume and contract length, handling, space use, weight, volume, stackability, temperature requirements and similar factors that materially affect costs also influence pricing.

Pricing is reviewed with each customer in the offer, taking warehouse utilisation into account.

Agreements are based on charges for required space, storage and handling work, IT systems use and other possible add-on services. Agreement lengths vary by customer need. Existing agreements of different lengths affect warehouse and field space availability. Space needs and options are assessed at the offer stage.
